NTA has been instrumental in the development of the DEVCOM AvMC Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) Guidance Integration Facility (GIF). The GIF integrates GMLRS subsystem hardware and a GPS satellite constellation simulator with a real-time 6DOF simulation to create a dynamic GPS environment for the weapon. The 6DOF simulation can also be run in a stand-alone mode, incorporating the same flight software that executes in the rocket. NTA has continued to enhance the GIF and use it to predict flight test performance; investigate anomalies, both from flight tests and from the battlefield; analyze new and proposed changes to flight hardware and software; recommend changes and fixes to flight software; develop hardware and software solutions for demonstration programs; and provide timely analyses related to GMLRS. NTA’s capability in the GIF provides the PM STORM project office with a reliable, affordable, and convenient source for solutions to problems regarding current and future GMLRS operation and performance.
